Carbide Cutting Edges CaWay
- Special cutting edges for Mählers CaWay plows
Nordviq Carbide cutting edges are designed for use on smooth road surfaces for plowing relatively loose snow and slush. They are primarily used on truck front plows.
Carbide: virgin (non-recycled) tungsten carbide.
Trapezoidal 9 × 16 mm, 1.9 kg/m, 88 mm.
Square holes for standard KH M16 cutting edge bolts.
Carbide cutting edges are more than three times harder than the hardest hardened wear steel. They are harder than the toughest minerals found in road surfaces, which is why they can last up to 10 times longer than hardened wear steel.
With carbide cutting edges, there is no need to interrupt plowing or grading as frequently for inspection and adjustment. The wear rate is low, while the service life is very long. This results in reduced damage to blade holders, more efficient operation, and lower total operating costs.
